Squirrels in UMich
Cute furry things. Wish I could have one

The entire UMich campus is peppered with these furry fuzzballs that scamper around searching for small acorn nuts. Once they find one (which is not too difficult) they keep it still with their inch-long nails and start nibbling on it. Count to about 20 seconds and they’d have torn away the shell and enjoyed the nut inside.

They’re generally afraid of humans so if you rush to them they’ll just run away. I had to virtually sneak up on them to grab camera shots, especially since my camera only has 3x zoom. I really wish I could bring one back to Singapore. So lovable and adorable. . . It’s something which makes UMich special.
